January 28th Getting started & creating a medicine chest, Part III: 4-5:30PM
PART III: HERBS FOR WINTERTIME BLUES & EMOTIONAL WELLBEING
Now that we have a plan, thanks to our morning's workshop, and we've worked a bit with physical discomforts, in this workshop we'll take a look at wintertime blues and emotional wellbeing.
Some people call it "SAD" (Seasonal Affective Disorder). One thing for sure is that come the end of January, we begin to appreciate just how long wintertime can be. Many of us feel the effects of the absence of sunshine, limited daylight and little time in the garden.
We’ll sample herbs that raise our spirits. We’ll explore various methods of application and presentation, to soothe those wintertime blues.
Each person will leave with an herbal remedy that they've made that can be used to soothe the spirit.
Pre-registration and pre-payment ($25/person) is required, Call Beth at TREC ~ the Tom Ridge Environmental Center (814)833-6050 for details. Please ask her about a discount rate for the day, COUPON CODE: NEW YEAR OFFERING.
