April 8th Making herbal medicines, Part I: 10-12PM
PART I: AN INTRODUCTION TO PREPARING & BLENDING HERBAL TEAS
Herbal teas can, of course, be made from freshly picked herbs and we'll explore some of these during this workshop. But what about when fresh herbs are unavailable? Or when it becomes important to use dried and not fresh herbs?
This workshop will explore drying methods and how to prepare and blend medicinal herbs for both flavor and effect. We'll blend, taste and discuss the ethical sourcing of herbs. Oodles of recipes.
Also, while most people think about drinking the herbal infusion, we'll delve into the many uses beyond the tea mug.
Everyone will leave with their own custom blend.
